PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use of a retainer of a double row cylindrical roller bearing in a single row cylindrical roller bearing. SOLUTION: The single row cylindrical roller bearing is provided with an inner ring 21 having a raceway surface 21a in an outer circumference, an outer ring 22 having a raceway surface 22a in an inner circumference, a plurality of cylindrical rollers 23 arranged in a single row to freely roll between the raceway surface 21a of the inner ring 21 and the raceway surface 22a of the outer ring 22, and a resin retainer 14 retaining the cylindrical rollers 23 at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction. The retainer 14 is equal to one row of the retainer for the double row cylindrical roller bearing, and a rib part 27 regulating axial movement of the retainer 14 is provided on an outer circumferential rim part of the inner ring 21 to protrude toward a radial outer side.
