摘要 A copper alloy which has a specific chemical composition, the balance being Cu and impurities, wherein the total number of pieces of precipitates and inclusions having a particle diameter of 1 mum or more satisfies the relationship represented by the following formula (1): logN <= 0.4742 + 17.629 x exp(-0.1133 x X) --- (1) where N represents the total number of pieces of precipitates and inclusions per unit area (number of pieces/mm2), and X represents the particle diameter (mum) of precipitates and inclusions; and a method for producing the copper alloy, which comprises, subsequent to melting and casting, cooling the cast product at a cooling rate of 0.5°C/s or more at least in a temperature region from the temperature of the cast product immediately after casting to 450°C. It is desirable that, after the above cooling, the product is further subjected to a working treatment in a temperature region of 600°C or lower and then to a heat treatment for 30 seconds or longer in a temperature region of 150 to 750°C, and, more desirably, the working and heating treatments are carried out two or more times.
