PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire equipped with an enhanced high-speed durability and driving stability without degrading the riding comfort and the intra-vehicle sound transmitting performance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire equipped with a carcass consisting of one or more carcass plies is structured so that at least one of the carcass plies is made of polyketone fiber cords meeting the conditions according to equation (I)σ≥-0.01×E+1.2, and equation (II)σ≥0.02, whereσsignifies the thermal contraction stress (cN/dtex) at 177°C, and E does the modulus of elasticity (cN/dtex) when a 49-N load is applied at 25°C, and further a heat emission promoting layer 6 having a tanδat 80°C of no less than 0.20 is laid in the neighborhood of the carcass 4.
