PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can create high quality printed matter when print waiting occurs even if a high quality printed matter is not created but low quality printed matter is created in order to avoid waste of time. SOLUTION: When an allocating mode is set, low quality print data generation processing, i.e. main controller job processing, and high quality print data generation processing, i.e. extension controller job processing, are started simultaneously (S190) and when generation of high quality print data is ended under print wait state (YES at S200 after repeating NO at S200→YES at S210), high quality printing is performed. On the other hand, when print wait state is eliminated before ending generation of high quality print data (NO at S210 after repeating NO at S200→YES at S210), low quality printing is performed. Consequently, even when an operator creates a low quality printed matter in order to avoid waste of time, a high quality printed matter can be obtained by utilizing a print waiting time upon occurrence thereof.
