PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized grinding device, easily and stably performing truing or dressing of a grinding wheel. SOLUTION: This grinding device 12 includes: moving mechanisms 14, 16, 24, 26, 52, 54 in which an optical member holding part 34 is moved to make an optical member 42 abut on grinding wheels 49a, 49b, thereby grinding the optical member 42, and a truing part 62 is moved to make a truing wheel 65 abut on the grinding wheels 49a, 49b, thereby truing the grinding wheels 49a, 49b. The moving mechanisms 14, 16, 24, 26, 52, 54 have common parts 14, 16 for moving the optical member holding part 34 and the truing part 62 along at least one common moving axis G, which are used both for movement of the optical member holding part 34 and the movement of the truing part 62.
