METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ROUTING A CALL TO A DUAL MODE WIRELESS DEVICE

A method for routing a call to a dual-mode wireless device and an apparatus therefor are provided to enable a network node to select one of plural networks to use a call when accessing the dual-mode wireless device, so that the network node can route the call to the dual-mode wireless device through the selected network. A network node receives a call(302). The network node selects one network among plural networks in order to use the call when accessing a dual-mode wireless device(304). The network node routes the call to the dual-mode wireless device through the selected network(306). The network node reroutes the call to the dual-mode wireless device through another network among the plural networks during the progress of the call.
