The container has a rear peripheral wall (11) receiving a water introduction unit, a front peripheral wall (12), and two lateral peripheral walls. A convex base (16) holds detergents and extends in a plane forming an angle, ranging between 60 and 80 degrees, with the wall (12). One of the lateral peripheral walls has a perforated portion impermeable to the detergents in the form of gel or powder and is provided with holes (18) whose diameter is equal to one millimeter. An independent claim is also included for a dishwasher comprising a detergent container.
