PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an antiglare film suitably formed on a screen of various display devices represented by liquid crystal display devices, plasma display devices, EL display devices or CRT (cathod ray tube)s, and a manufacturing method of an optical film exhibiting excellent antiglare properties. SOLUTION: A blasting material composed of dry ice is sprayed on a plastically deformable resin film substrate or a resin film substrate having an uncured hardcoat layer formed thereon at ordinary temperature and ordinary pressure. Thus, the surface of the resin film substrate or the surface of the hardcoat layer is hollowed to form a concavo-convex pattern to be roughened. As the dry ice sublimes at ordinary temperature and ordinary pressure to turn into a gas, no blasting material remains on the surface of the resin film substrate after the roughening treatment.
