PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent clads from sticking to each other, and then to realize a sure adhesive fixation between the terminal of an optical fiber and a mouthpiece. SOLUTION: Each terminal of a plurality of optical fibers 11 is irradiated with plasma, wherein the optical fibers 11 include a covering layer 13 coated with an organosilicon compound containing fluorine replaced alkyl group. The terminals of the plurality of optical fibers 11 irradiated with the plasma are bundled and inserted into the mouthpiece 12.
