PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for a refrigerator, and a refrigerator using the gasket prevented from the fall of a magnet, reduced in manufacturing man-hours and improved in dimensional accuracy and strength. SOLUTION: The gasket 30 for the refrigerator is disposed at the peripheral part of a door 7 for opening/closing the front face of a body part 6 of the refrigerator 1, to seal the body part 6. The gasket 30 comprises a flexible member 31 brought into close contact with the body part 6, and the magnet 32 held covered with the flexible member 31 and attracted to the body part 6. Projecting parts 32 are protrusively provided on the peripheral surface of the magnet 32, and recessed parts 31b into which the projecting parts 32a are fittingly held are provided in a recessed form in the flexible member 31.
