An LCD is provided to discharge static electricity flowing into gate signal lines during manufacturing of the LCD, thereby protecting a gate driver, by connecting the gate signal lines to guard rings of a cell. An LCD comprises a mother glass substrate having a plurality of cells(150). A first guard ring(331) is disposed at the outer portion of the mother glass substrate. Each cell includes a gate driver for generating gate signals, a plurality of second guard rings(332) extended horizontally, and a plurality of guard rings(333) extended vertically. The gate driver is connected to the second guard rings or the third guard rings. The first guard ring, the second guard rings, and the third guard rings are connected to one another. |
