A printing control device is provided to enable a user to easily check a name of a port connecting to the printer and/or an IP(Internet Protocol) address of the printer with a printer name displayed to a printer folder window and a printing option setting window by including the port name and/or the IP address of the printer to the printer name recorded to a registry. The registry(450) stores the printer name and connection information of the printer. A printer name changer(490) changes and rewrites the printer name to the registry by including printer connection information if the printer connection information is not included in the printer name. A port part(480) includes at least one port connected to the printer. The printer connection information is at least one of the name of the port connected to the printer and the IP address of the printer. A controller(495) makes the printer name changer change the printer name written to the registry whenever one display command for the printer folder window or the printing option setting window is received.
