<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for optical disks, having a simple, compact and cost-effective structure. <P>SOLUTION: The printer for optical disks comprises a body case 2 having an opening 4 in the front and a cover 3 for opening/closing the opening 4 wherein a supporting part 14 for supporting an optical disk D, a carriage 31 as a print mechanism and a ribbon cartridge 39 are provided in the body case 2. The opening 4 is opened by turning the cover 3 downward and then the cover 3 is held horizontally. Subsequently, a part of the optical disk D is inserted into the body case 2 through the upper surface of the cover 3 and supported at the supporting part 14. Thereafter, a part of the optical disk D exposed to the outside of the body case 2 is supported by the cover 3, and printing is performed on the surface of the optical disk D in that state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
