<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method capable of enhancing image quality of pixels having a unique characteristic of edge portions, gradation sequence portions, digitized portions, and isolated points or others of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image signal processing section 421Y generating image concentration data from image data and image characteristic data from image characteristic signals, an LED characteristic recording section 422Y recording LED characteristic data of each LED element in advance, a control correction generating section 423Y generating control correction data based on the image characteristic data generated in the image signal processing section 421Y and the LED characteristic data recorded in the LED characteristic recording section 422Y, and a driving signal generating section 424Y generating LED driving signals based on the image concentration data generated in the image signal processing section 421Y and the control correction data generated in the control correction generating section 423Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
