PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can be attached after checking the normal operation of a check valve, and the method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: First, three elements of a valve supporting member 3a, a valve body 3b and a valve cover 3c are assembled as a check valve set 3x. Then, the valve set 3x is inserted into the first opening 7a of a cartridge housing, and then the ink cartridge is attached to the bottom of the opening 7a. The check valve 3 plays a role for preventing an ink from flowing to the ink holder from the opening 7a. Second, a bung member 6a fitted to the opening 7a is composed so as to be penetrated by a hollow needle. The valve cover 3c is located at the side of the bung member 6a of the check valve 3 and composed so as to protect the valve body 3b from the hollow needle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
