PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction apparatus or the like which can reproduce sub-audio data, while preventing interruption of the sub-audio data, even during a forward or reverse play by the user, in reproduction of still image data to which sub audio data are added. SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, and a medium recording the reproduction method. The reproduction apparatus includes a reproducing unit for reproducing mainstream data and sub-audio data separately added in the mainstream data, wherein the reproducing unit includes a counter used in reproducing the sub audio data. It is possible to more naturally reproduce a browsable slide show to the user, while preventing an interruption of background music even during a forward or reverse play by the user, in reproduction of the still image data to which sub audio data is additionally included.
