PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insulated needle for the current applying treatment which does not damage an insulation film during the current applying acupuncture, can penetrate to a deep part in a wide region of the body without giving a pain since a surface of the needle is smooth, and can be frequently used since the high temperature and high humidity sterilization can be executed for many times.

SOLUTION: The insulated needle for the current application is formed by covering a pointed head section and a main body of the needle 10 except a needle stem 11 of the needle made of stainless steel or a conductive metal which can be made to be a thread with a hard carbon film.
