PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of video-recording an input video image from an external input irrespective of an actuation state of a video recording apparatus for video recording control processing from an external apparatus. SOLUTION: In the video recording method, different codes are assigned to auxiliary remote controller and a remote controller code to be received for control from an external apparatus, and when the remote controller code to be transmitted for control from the external apparatus is received, processing for performing unique processing according to the control from the external apparatus is used.
