PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe for mass analysis of liquid samples and capable of efficiently ionizing the samples, without adding a protic solvent to the mobile phase in an ionization method at mass analysis on the liquid sample. SOLUTION: The probe has a chemical structure expressed by general Formula [I] R<SP>2</SP>-A-R<SP>1</SP>(wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is an ionic functional group to be ions in a solvent; R<SP>2</SP>is a structure capable of combining with other substances; and A is an arbitrary spacer part). It is possible to efficiently ionize samples, without adding a protic solvent to a mobile phase in an electrospray ionization method through the use of the probe of this invention and perform high-sensitivity and high-accuracy electrospray ionization mass analysis on various samples.
