PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of allowing safe movement for an apparatus for positioning, for example, an apparatus for positioning for a blood vessel in a medical imaging device. SOLUTION: This method comprises an action (102) for holding the apparatus for positioning at a predetermined static position resisting the influence of gravity, an action (201) for actuating at a predetermined low speed a driving motor for the aforementioned apparatus for positioning, an action (302) for measuring an electric current supplied to the aforementioned driving motor, and an action (402) for releasing the aforementioned apparatus for positioning responding to the degree of electricity supplied to the aforementioned driving motor.
