PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type work scaffold device for an elevator, which is usable for a see-through elevator such as an observation elevator without damaging its appearance, and usable for an existing building because of easy installation. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a scaffold plate 8 folded between a toe guard 5 provided below a landing sill 2 in a hoistway and a landing side wall surface part 12 of the hoistway, and a developing means 9 to develop the scaffold plate when necessary, and hold a step surface 8a of the scaffold plate to be roughly horizontal.
