An alarm apparatus of a vacuum cleaner is provided to check the operation mode and operation state accurately in operating the vacuum cleaner by automatically regulating and alarming suction force according to the amount of foreign matters to a user, and to remove foreign matters efficiently by checking foreign matters in a dust collecting bin. An alarm apparatus of a vacuum cleaner includes a power supply unit(30) for supplying power to the vacuum cleaner, an operation mode input unit(40) for inputting operation mode of the vacuum cleaner, an operation mode display unit(70) for displaying the operation mode from the operation mode input unit, a voice output unit(80) for outputting the operation mode in voice, a control unit(20) for controlling the operation mode display unit and the voice output unit according to signals from the operation mode input unit, a dust sensor unit(50) for inputting a dust detection signal to the control unit by sensing dust, and a dust detection display unit(90) for indicating detection of dust according to the dust detection signal inputted to the control unit.
