<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can reduce the manufacturing costs by enabling adjustment without an adjusting mechanism when assembling and adjusting. <P>SOLUTION: The bisected photo detector in the photo detector 2 has a light receiving surface divided into two areas with a parting line. Two detected signals corresponding to the light received in each area are output when receiving a light beam. When a hologram element 3 is turned within the surface perpendicular to the light axis J, the beam spot moves across the parting line on the light receiving surface. The difference (output difference) between the two detected signals changes as the beam spot moves and this variation of the difference differs by each bisected photo detector. The focusing offset can be corrected only by turning the hologram component 3 and combining together the differential output changing in different amounts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
