<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brightness, light arranging property and durability in a light source for a color liquid crystal projector. <P>SOLUTION: A light source module unit 50 is formed by laminating, in the predetermined sequence, light source modules 53R, 53G, 53B of different colors by preparing the light source module where light emitting bare chip 522 is set on a transparent substrate 520 so that the light emitting element bare chips 522 of the same color are aligned for arrangement, when the all light emitting bare chips 522 of the same color are projected on the plane by paying attention to any one of colors in the light source module unit 50 where a plurality of light source modules 53 are laminated. Sealing by the transparent resin 524 is conducted in the manner that the plane opposing to the light emitting element bare chip 522 forms a parabolic plane, and the light emitting bare chip 522 is arranged to the focal point position; and a metal reflection film 526 and dichloic film 527 are formed to give the reflecting function to the element side at the surface thereof.
