<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an incident end face part of a light guide plate to be completely fitted and connected to an opening without displacement, and to maximally emit light emitted from a light source device from an emission surface of the light guide plate by effectively utilizing the light emitted from the light source device without attenuation. <P>SOLUTION: This flat lighting system 1 is provided with: the light guide plate 2 comprising incident end face parts 9 for guiding light, a front surface part 10 and a back surface part 11 for emitting the light to the outside and side surface parts 6 for connecting the front surface part 10 and the back surface part 11; and the light source devices 3 provided with projecting parts 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d located on the upper and lower sides of positions laterally separated from the openings for emitting the light from a semiconductor light emitting element and projecting as compared with the openings. The flat lighting system is so structured that the thickness of the incident end face parts 9 is nearly equal to the vertical distance between the projecting parts 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d; and the incident end face parts 9 are sandwiched between the upper and lower projecting parts 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
