PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder shape finely crushed binder useful on the production of tablets, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This powder shape finely crushed binder comprises a vinyl lactam polymer, having an average particle size of≤35μm and an apparent density of≤0.2 g/ml. The method for producing the binder comprises spraying a vinyl lactam polymer aqueous solution having a solid content of 1 to 35 wt.% with a single liquid nozzle under a pressure of≥8 MPa or with a double liquid nozzle under a pressure of≥0.2 MPa, and then drying the sprayed product with a hot gas flow.
