PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder fiber for a fiber structure such as woven fabric, hard cotton, fiber cushion, etc., having excellent low-temperature heat adhesion to a polyester fiber, heat resistance, fatigue resistance and durability. SOLUTION: The copolyester composition is obtained by mixing a copolyester having repeating structural units composed of a tetramethylene terephthalate unit, an ethylene terephthalate unit, a tetramethylene isophthalate unit and an ethylene isophthalate unit with an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal carboxylate terminated with a monofunctional group selected from a 1-10C alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group and a 7-20C alkylaryl group. The copolymerization amount of the isophthalic acid components containing the tetramethylene isophthalate unit and the ethylene isophthalate unit is 5-30 mol% based on the total dicarboxylic acid components constituting the polyester.
