PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable image recording material having high sensitivity and highγ, and ensuring little variations in photographic performance, such as a character line width due to variations in the environmental humidity during storage. SOLUTION: The heat-developable image recording material has on a support an image forming layer, containing a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for the organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide having a silver iodide content of 40-100 mol%, and a halogen precursor in an amount≤0.1 mol per mol of the non-photosensitive organic silver salt, wherein a binder containing a polymer prepared by copolymerizing 10-70 mass% of a monomer represented by Formula (M): CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SB>01</SB>-CR<SB>02</SB>=CH<SB>2</SB>is used as a binder in the image forming layer.
