PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption current without causing deterioration in phase compensation characteristics. SOLUTION: An operational amplifier 20 comprises a differential amplification circuit A<SB>1</SB>, a buffer circuit A<SB>B</SB>and an output amplifier circuit A<SB>2</SB>mutually connected in series, a resistor of a resistance value R<SB>C</SB>connected in series between the connection point of the differential amplification circuit A<SB>1</SB>and the buffer circuit A<SB>B</SB>and the output edge of the output amplifier circuit A<SB>2</SB>, and a capacitor of an electrostatic capacity C<SB>C</SB>. Moreover, the amplifier 20 comprises a bias current generating circuit B for generating a bias current Ib for the buffer circuit A<SB>B</SB>based on a current I<SB>L</SB>flowing at the output stage of the output amplifier circuit A<SB>2</SB>, and supplying the bias current Ib to the buffer circuit A<SB>B</SB>.
