An apparatus and a method to remove pop-noise are provided to increase the reliability in a digital amplifier for repeatedly performing the high-speed switching. When a user selects an arbitrary mode, pop-noise due to the level difference of PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data in the audio signal during the reproduction is generated. A control member(208) transmits the pop-noise generation prediction signal to a decoding routine member(200). An audio processing device(204) receives the prediction signal due to the pop-noise and divides the level of the PCM data corresponding to the pop-noise by an exponential function so that the level of the PCM data is reduced and increased and the pop-noise is removed. Thereafter, the PCM data are transmitted to a decoding routine buffer device(206).
