A suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is provided to contact front and rear flexible blades to a floor alternately by mounting front and rear friction wheels with simple mechanism, to increase responsiveness by restricting rotation angle of the flexible blade with a stopper, to operate the flexible blade accurately by restricting the friction wheel from idling, to improve durability by making the flexible blade of rubber, and to remove dirt from a floor easily by turning a brush in the suction port. A suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner includes a case having a suction port(202) formed in a bottom, a front rotating shaft(233a) installed in the front of the suction port, a rear rotating shaft(233b) installed in a rear part of the suction port, a front friction wheel(235a) installed at both sides of the front rotating shaft, a rear friction wheel(235b) installed at both sides of the rear rotating shaft, a front flexible blade(231a) installed in the front rotating shaft, and a rear flexible blade(231b) installed in the rear rotating shaft. A stopper is formed in the case to restrict rotational angle of the flexible blade, and a return spring is mounted between the stopper and the flexible blade.
