<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a container filled with a bicarbonate solution or an oxidizable solution, which eliminates a need of excessively reducing the pH of the bicarbonate solution beforehand or of putting the container into an outer packaging bag, and to provide a gas barrier multilayer film suitable for being used in such a manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The gas barrier multilayer film 10c includes a base layer 11 made of a polyolefin resin, adhesive layers 17 made of a polyolefin adhesive resin, and a gas barrier layer 12 having an inorganic oxide vapor deposition film 14. One surface 11a of the base layer 11 is glued to the surface of gas barrier layer 12 on the side of the vapor deposition film 14 via the adhesive layer 17. The multilayer film 10c as a whole has a carbonic-acid gas permeability (temperature 25°C, humidity 50% RH) of 10 cm<SP>3</SP>/m<SP>2</SP>×24 h×atm or less. The plastic container formed of such a gas barrier multilayer film 10c is filled with the bicarbonate solution, sealed up, and is sterilized to provide the container filled with the bicarbonate solution.
