PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of reducing clock noise due to a reference clock. SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises: a CCD 5; a TG 9 which generates a reference clock for driving the CCD 5; a CDS/AGC circuit 6 that amplifies the signal output from the CCD 5 with a variable amplification factor which is large when a value of ISO sensitivity is large and small when the value of ISO sensitivity is small; a reference clock switching circuit 10 which switches the frequency of the reference clock; and a CPU 2 which controls the reference clock switching circuit 10 to make the frequency of the reference clock lower when the value of ISO sensitivity is large than when small and sets the lower-limit frequency of the reference clock lower in still picture photography lower than in moving picture photography to set the lower-limit frequency of the reference clock lower in single shooting than in continuous shooting.
