PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of parallel-carrying using a paper feed cassette that houses a plurality of recording material in parallel in the width direction in such a way that width of a plurality of recording material bottom surface support members supporting the bottom surfaces of bundles of the recording materials is adjustable to suit the width of the recording materials housed, in which the size of the recording materials housed is detected. SOLUTION: The paper feed cassette is capable of housing a plurality of recording materials in parallel. The width of the plurality of the recording material bottom surface support members for supporting the bottom surfaces of the bundles of the recording materials is adjustable to suit the width of the recording materials housed. It is provided with side fences 3 to regulate the bundles of the recording material in the width direction, end fences 5a and 5b position-adjustable in accordance with the length of the recording materials to regulate a paper feed direction rear end of the recording materials, a side fence sensor 13 to detect the side fence, and an end fence sensor 14 to detect the end fence.
