An air bag apparatus for a vehicle is provided to preclude passengers from being hurt by the expansion pressure of the air bag and to improve the stability of the passengers according to the formation of the air resistance member. An air bag apparatus for a vehicle is composed of an air bag module(100) containing an air bag(110) opened through gas with high pressure caused by the explosion of the inflator; and an air resistance member(200) placed in the air bag to work as a fabric opened at the inlet side of the air bag module when the air bag is opened. The air resistance member comprises a semispherical buffer fabric(210); and plural linear connection members(220) supporting the edge of the buffer fabric to the air bag module.
