<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit three-dimensional video image information by using a conventional transmission path for a tow-dimensional video image, such as a television broadcasting network. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission method for three-dimensional video image information is configured with a tow-dimensional texture image and a depth information, attached to each pixel of the texture image. In a transmitting side, the depth information attached to each pixel of the texture image is inserted for each three line of R, G, and B image data of the tow-dimensional texture image as data of one line, and the R, G, and B image data and the depth information inserted into the R, G, and B image data are transmitted to the receiving side, by using a conventional transmission path for a tow-dimensional video image for a television broadcasting. At the receiving side, the depth information is extracted from the received R, G, and B image data to reconfigure the R, G, and B image data of the tow-dimensional texture image and the depth information attached to each pixel of the texture image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
