<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of minimizing the wraparound of radio waves automatically at a low cost without help of labor, furthermore e.g. even at the time the depth of a bumper is changed by aging or the material of the bumper is replaced with different one. <P>SOLUTION: The radar system for detecting the surrounding bodies by transmitting/receiving radar beams through a member arranged in front of an antenna is provided with: the transmitter part for transmitting the transmission beam modulated with reference frequency from the antenna; the receiver part for receiving the receiving beam of the reflected transmission beam reflected from an object; and the signal process part for calculating the distance to the object from the time difference between the transmission beam and the receiving beam. The signal process part is characterized in that the reference frequency is controlled so as to minimize the reflection loss from the member based on the receiving beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
