PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety switch improved in durability and having a high degree of freedom of attachment to an installation place. SOLUTION: A switch body 1 has a rectangular solid shape and an actuator approach opening 9a and a cable extraction opening 33a are formed on one side of a set of corner parts of the switch body 1 facing to each other and on the other side thereof, respectively, whereby the degree of freedom of attachment of this safety switch can be improved and a selection range of the safety switch attachment can be increased. Since only the single actuator approach opening 9a is formed in the switch body 1, a failure of the safety switch by intrusion of foreign matter from an unused approach opening can be prevented, a part having low strength in terms of shape can be eliminated by forming an engagement part 15a and a cam curve part 15c in a drive cam in a separated form, and the strength of the drive cam 15 can be increased.
