PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system and a repeater with which the cost required for system improvement is inexpensive. SOLUTION: The data processing system 1 provided with a body device 102 for processing data of a magnetic card 50 comprises a non-contact card reader 111 for reading out data from a non-contact card 60 and the repeater 10 arranged between the non-contact card reader 111 and the body device 102 and allowed to input a data signal from the non-contact card reader 111, add a synchronizing signal to the data signal and output the data signal with the synchronizing signal to the body device 102.
