PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproofing material enabling the easy insertion and installation in a joint cover member, hard to be removed from a predetermined position after installation, and enabling the easy peeling of releasing paper. SOLUTION: This waterproofing material is installed in a joint cover member 20 fitted to the both end edge parts for sealing by covering a clearance between both end edge parts of mutually opposed end edge part 30a and end edge part 30a of a surface material 30 installed on the outside of a building adjacently to each other and a binding member connecting the adjacent surface materials 30 to each other by engaging them with the both end edge parts. The waterproofing material is formed by stacking a foam body 12 and an adhesive material 14 on each other. A thin-walled part 16 extened in the longitudinal direction of the joint cover member 20 and foldable so as to be easily inserted into the joint cover member 20 is formed at the upper and lower surface center parts of the foam body 12.
