<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC voltage output unit for generating an AC voltage supplied to an external load by one motor. <P>SOLUTION: A step-up converter 10 supplies the DC voltage from a battery B to a power supply line PL2 while stepping up. An AC output line ACL1 is connected with the positive electrode of the battery B having a voltage level lower than that on the power supply line PL2. An AC output line ACL2 is connected with the neutral N of the three-phase coil 12 of a motor generator MG. A controller 60 varies total sum of the duty of an inverter 20 according to a curve k1 varying with commercial frequency.
