<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control method and an exhaust emission control system capable of dispensing with increase of a generation amount of nitrogen oxides and smoke, and capable of raising a temperature of an exhaust emission control unit with reduced increase of fuel consumption while avoiding the melt loss or deterioration of a catalyst caused by high temperature of the exhaust emission control unit in temperature raising control in the exhaust emission control system on which the oxidation catalyst is carried. <P>SOLUTION: In regeneration control, when the temperature of the exhaust emission control units 22 and 22A is lower than a regeneration possible temperature, intake system control and fuel system control are performed. In temperature raising control for raising the temperature of the exhaust emission control unit 22 and 22A with the usage of heat generated by oxidizing the fuel supplied into the exhaust gas by the oxidation catalyst, an air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust emission control units 22 and 22A is 2.0 or more and 5.0 or less in excess air ratio conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
