PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat tube for a heat exchanger capable of preventing fusing near a partitioning portion caused by erosion. SOLUTION: In this flat tube for the heat exchanger wherein a metallic plate 2 coated with a brazing filler metal 1 at least at its one face is bent into the flat tube shape in a state that the brazing filler metal 1 is an outer face, both edge portions of the metallic plate 2 are bent inward in a state of being overlapped to each other back to back, and kept into contact with an inner face of a plane portion 3b of the flat tube shape to form the partitioning portion 5, and a circulation groove 7 is formed on the way of the partitioning portion 5 for allowing residual brazing filler metal 1 to flow in the longitudinal direction of the flat tube A in a brazing processing.
