PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical crystal lens which is less in spherical aberration and with which an optical device using a parallel light beam optical system can be made reduced in insertion loss and small in size. SOLUTION: In the optical crystal lens made by bonding two sheets of birefringent material, both of the direction of input side optical axis 3 in the input side birefringent material 1 and the direction of output side optical axis 4 in the output side birefringent material 2 are perpendicular to light ray transmission direction and are orthogonally crossed. Further, the crystal lens is formed in a biconvex shape. Otherwise, the crystal lens may be made such that the whole shape is globular. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
