PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D-<SP>3</SP>He tokamak nuclear fusion power generation apparatus capable of executing a series of operations from an experiment to a power generation demonstration by a single unit. SOLUTION: A plasma current of 40-50 MA is driven for a long time by a tokamaku apparatus having a high aspect ratio of a major radius of 7.5 m by using the plasma current drive effect of a vertical magnetic field and an ohmic transformer. An excellent confinement is achieved by increasing the minor radius to 3.2 m, and by setting the toroidal magnetic field to 5.0-7.0 T, a sufficient safety factor is provided, the influence of synchrotron radiation is reduced and the beta value is lowered to an existing value of 12.5% or lower, and further the heat flux in the first wall caused by radiation power is lowered to 1 MW/m<SP>2</SP>. Thus, even in the case of executing an experiment not producing a neutron, the nuclear fusion power generation apparatus can generate power while cooling the radiation power by a coolant, and when the performance of the density, containment of particles and the beta value is raised, the apparatus can execute a D-<SP>3</SP>He nuclear fusion reaction experiment and execute a full-scale power generation demonstration with the radiation power.
