PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface area calculating program of a screw capable of obtaining the surface area of the screw simply and accurately, and a concentration calculating program of impurities in plating capable of accurately obtaining the concentration of impurities in plating. SOLUTION: The dimension data of the respective regions of the screw are obtained and the shapes of the respective regions of the screw are designated to select the dimension data of the respective regions of the screw while these dimension data and shapes of the respective regions of the screw are combined to calculate the surface area of the screw. Further, the mass of the zinc plating of the screw is calculated from the calculated surface area of the screw, the thickness of the zinc plating film applied to the surface of the screw and the specific gravity of the compositional substance of zinc plating, and the concentration of hexavalent chromium contained in the plating film formed by providing a trivalent chromate film on the zinc plating film is calculated from the mass of the zinc plating and the mass of hexavalent chromium being the impurity contained in the plating film.
