PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle detection system which can improve the precision of detecting a rotation angle by optimizing the fixed magnetization direction of a pin layer constituting a magnetoresistive element especially in fundamental states such as a perfect stationary state and an idling state. SOLUTION: In the perfect stationary state that an engine is turned off and the idling state that the engine is turned on but the vehicle is in a stationary state (these states are called the fundamental states), the direction of an external magnetic field H crossing an axis O of a throttle valve shaft 4 and the magnetization direction of the pin layer of the magnetoresistive element 22 coincide with each other. This can thereby reduce the phenomenon that the magnetization of the pin layer fluctuates by the external magnetic field H in the fundamental states and manufacture a throttle position sensor having good detection accuracy.
