摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical rotary drive device of low cost, light-weight and a simple constitution, being positioned with high accuracy, and having high reliability. SOLUTION: A torsion member 1 is fixed and connected with a supporting mechanism 2 at its first end 10, and has a free end 12 as a second end at a side opposite to the first end 10, rotatably between a non-twisted state and a twisted state on the longitudinal shaft center X of the torsion member 1. The length of the torsion member 1 is shortened by being kept in the twisted state. A mechanism 16 for transmitting rotational moment to the torsion member 1 or from the torsion member 1 is mounted near the free end 12. A damper device 5 is mounted to a position in adjacent to the free end 12, and a damper 14 is formed at the free end 12.
