PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an assisting tool for pets being an assisting tool for assisting walking of an old dog, capable of carrying out free movement with will of dog itself and lowering the head by will of dog itself. SOLUTION: In the assisting tool 1 for pets, a pet-holding part 3, wheels 5 and a mounting belt (a front engaging means) 6 are attached to a frame 2 and a grip 8 is integrated with the frame 2. Parts from the chest of the dog to the waist are put on a main holding part 61 of the pet-holding part 3. The rear legs are put on a leg-holding part 62. In a state in which the assisting tool 1 is attached to the dog, the wheels 5 are positioned directly under the waist of the dog and load applied to the waist of the dog is directly supported by wheels. The pet-holding part 3 is attached in cantilevered state to the wheels 5 and is swingable around the wheels 5.
