CONVERSION METHOD FOR TEXT TO SPEECH IN MOBILE TERMINAL

A method for converting text into sound in a mobile terminal device is provided to improve the processing speed by processing identification of characters and conversion of sound in a direct conversion type and to promptly convert text data inputted in real-time into the sound. Input text is transmitted to a terminal application through HDLC(High level Data Link Control), and then the transmitted text is stored(S110). Characters are identified from the stored text(S130). The identified characters are converted into speech(S140). The identification of the characters is performed by classifying the input text into vowels and consonants and then applying a direct conversion method.
